Strut Suspension Front Clips
(Drag Race)
Chassisworks' strut-suspension front-frame clips accept VariStrut and Strange Engineering drag-race struts. Frame clips are available in 1-5/8"-round and 3x2"-boxed versions. Rails are long enough to reach the main-hoop crossmember, completely replacing the stock front suspension and frame. VariStrut suspension packages are available with a variety of upper-mount styles and travel lengths. The outside frame width is 26" to accommodate Chassisworks' Pro Box or Pinto rack-and-pinion and lower-control-arm mounts, and to provide consistent steering and suspension geometry. Upper strut mounts and lower control arm lengths can be configured to accommodate hub-to-hub widths ranging from 47-1/2" up to 61-1/2".

Strut clips are shipped as unassembled kits.

| Description: |
Reduce front-end weight with our extremely lightweight 4130 strut suspension system (124 lb); designed as a direct bolt-on for 1962-67 Chevy II drag race vehicles. The clip attaches to the car using the factory lower-frame and firewall mounts. Our front clips are completely factory-welded and built from 1.5/8 x .083" 4130, round tubing to create additional engine-bay room for tall-deck engines, large-diameter headers, and custom plumbing. The packaged system includes the factorywelded frame clip (bare steel), double adjustable billet VariStruts, control arms with 4130 rod ends, billet-aluminum drag-race rack, billet rack clamps, bump-steer-adjustable tie-rod ends, and complete disc brake set with billet hubs, lightweight rotors and Wilwood 4-piston aluminum calipers. |

Kit allows you to lower the front of your drag race car and take off 200 to 300 pounds of unwanted weight. Ground clearance is 3-1/2" at the firewall. The frame rails are long enough to extend from under the car to the rear frame crossmember. Designed for eye-mount VariStruts or Strange struts.
