Unwelded FAB9 Rearend Housing (4130) with 3-1/4" Axle Tubes, 45.5" Wide

The 17-1/2" wide center case is CNC laser cut, formed, robot welded and has a CNC machined center out of .188 4130 chrome moly steel. Housing fill sleeve and drain plug boss are factory welded in the center case. The 17-1/2" width allows the suspension brackets to be welded to the axle tubes as narrow as 22" outside width with a centered pinion, without modifying the brackets. The center case has internal axle tube gussets for added rigidity and axle tube stability. Axle tubes are made of 3-1/4x.250" 4130 tubing. This housing when complete, will be 2-3 times stronger and lighter than a stock 9" housing outfitted the same. The 3/8-24" 12-point 3rd member studs thread into the housing face from the inside, these will not fall out like the OEM press-in studs do when changing the 3rd member. This weld-up kit will make a housing 45" wide with 1" of pinion offset to the passenger side.
